The commemorative medal is minted on the occasion of the World Championship being held in Slovakia for the first time in the history of the independent Slovak Republic. A special technology was used in its production, where the medal motif is hand-engraved and embossed in a composite sandwich material consisting of 45 layers of gold and silver, the so-called MOCUME GANE technology.
During the embossing, the layers of precious metal are exposed, creating a color effect on the surface of the medal. The medal is placed in a glass case with the flags of the participating countries and stored in a wooden case with a certificate.
